The founder of Zibber came to us with a vision: what if learning a language felt like chatting with a knowledgeable friend? Someone who remembers your interests, adapts to your level, and makes every conversation meaningful.
The technical challenge was immense—building an AI that could maintain context across sessions, provide real-time corrections without breaking conversation flow, and scale affordably.
How We Solved It
We built Zibber from the ground up as a companion-first language learning platform. The AI doesn't feel like a teacher—it feels like a friend who happens to be great at languages.
Conversational AI Core: We integrated GPT with custom fine-tuning for natural, encouraging conversations. The AI corrects mistakes by restating phrases correctly, never breaking the conversation flow.
Memory Architecture: Using Pinecone vector database, the AI remembers past conversations, user interests, and learning progress. It references previous sessions naturally—"Remember when we talked about your trip to Tokyo?"
Adaptive Learning Engine: Behind the scenes, our algorithms continuously assess proficiency through conversation patterns—vocabulary diversity, grammar accuracy, sentence complexity—adjusting difficulty in real-time.
Cross-Platform Build: Built with React Native and Expo for a native feel on both iOS and Android, with seamless synchronization across devices.
